Awesome scenery (hills, greenery, Lake Ontario), nice people, and Wegman's - an AWESOME grocery store.
Work has been busy as usual this week, but I was able to do some sight-seeing on Sunday after I flew in. I drove north about 20 minutes to Lake Ontario and sat near the beach. It was very pretty, yet also a very ethnic area full of restaurants and people.

| Tons of areas like these with ready to eat items you can just put in a container and then check out anywhere (charged by the pound for easy convenience) |
The picture above is from the actual store I was in -- you can see the rows of food on the right that you can pick from (chinese, american, mexican, desserts, etc). There's a salad bar in the center, and a pizza station on the left (at least 10 types that you can buy by the slice). In the background are rows and rows of other types of food from potato pancakes and potstickers, to sushi and meals prepared for 4.
Words can't describe it -- all I know is I want to go back and just look around again. I also want them to come to Texas. It would put HEB to shame!!
And thus concludes my very foodie blog post :)

I'm glad you liked New York. I've never been to that area of the state.
ReplyDeleteWe have a place called Market Street that is like that place. The restaurant part isn't as big, but it's a nice (although expensive) store.
that store looks AMAZING! i shop at market street in lubbock but it's not nearly as cool looking as where you were... glad you had fun in Rochester!
