A busy week

What a busy week it's been!

It started out Tuesday when I played golf with 2 guys from work. I beat both of them shooting an 86 :) It felt good mostly because one guy in particular is ridiculously competitive and has never been beat by anyone in the office. Too bad he lost -- to a girl! I have subtly reminded him of this throughout the week muhaha

Wednesday I saw Rascal Flatts! It was awesome (and somewhat of a bucket-list item for me) so I'm glad I did it! I have to say that they were good but sound better on the radio than live. I feel like I'm rodeo-ed out for the next couple of years...it's fun but the smell of fried food wafting around with the smell of barn animals is one that you remember. ick

Thursday our work intramural softball team played and we did pretty well...too bad I can't hit the ball very far. I also saw my friend Claira for dinner and got her pretty bridesmaid dress and shoes!

Between most of this I was working mornings and studying for the GMAT. I've read about 2/3 of my review book and gone through almost all the strategies for the different topics -- I'm on the last one, Critical Reasoning. It is HARD! Apparently it's on the LSAT and it's God's way of telling me I was never meant to be a lawyer because it's weird to try and pick out assumptions in a statement. I lack the ability to do it haha. I'm excited about the progress I've made studying -- but still have a lot of practice problems left to do and apply the strategies I've learned. I have 11 days to do this and a trip to Atlanta that goes from next Wed-Sun. I'm very excited to see my family and celebrate my birthday late with my grandma :)

Hope everyone has had a good week and a very lovely spring break! Got to work the afternoon shift today!

  2. Yey for beating boys at sports!!! lol

So jealous you got to see them! I wanted to go to the rodeo this year, but that doesn't look like it will happen, so hopefully next year. I've never been and I feel like it's something I need to do while I live near Houston.

Love intramurals! I just like playing, not that I'm good at it. lol

See, I like that part of the LSAT, so I'll shut up on that. lol Good luck girl! You are going to kick butt!

Wish I had spring break, but a las UTMB is one of the only med schools to not have a spring break. Entirely unfair, but what can you do. Except watch the island be invaded by spring breakers who rub it in your nose. lol
