I've always loved geography. Ever since I was little I would pick up an atlas or globe and could stare at it for hours wondering what each place looked like and how I could travel there. I love the fact that my job involves international clients and communication. I get to call Australia, China, Seattle, Nigeria, and France all in one day -- and the next day it'll be different countries, different accents, and different time zones. If we're not too busy I generally G.oogle map the place I'm calling and see what it looks like...and when work is realllllly slow (which is pretty rare) I just drag that little yellow man all around the world. I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite virtual vacations of just a few places I'd love to see:
| Pepperdine in Malibu, CA - why oh why didn't I think about applying here?! Oh yeah...its 40K a year. I really want to see California! (both LA and San Fran) |
| Times Square -- I'd love to go to NYC |
| Trivigno, Italy -- the very small town where my family is from east of Naples (pretty sure those people on the left are distant cousins) |
| Nice, France -- I would love to go to France |
I feel like I've been blessed to have seen quite a few places around the world in my life -- there are still so many areas I hope I get the chance to see.
I guess this is why this new job is so intriguing to me. If I get hired I would get to see all different parts of the United States through golf courses...which to me, are some of the most beautiful landscapes you could ask for.
My interview is tomorrow at 10AM via Skype. Has anyone ever had a S.kype interview??? Kinda nervous, but I guess it's better than just a phone interview! I know there have been a ton of applicants...so if nothing else, at least I gave my dream job a shot!
My high school ex went there. lol Small world. I don't think it's worth the price, especially for him. He studied psych for fun cause he was going to get a job through his mom for the railroad anyways. Can I travel with you in your suitcase to all those places? I am so excited for you! I'll be praying for your interview!
