So the Bible study last night was interesting. Thank goodness for my dear friend Allie who willingly came along with me to make it less awkward. Anytime you're brand new to a situation it feels so strange, but these people were actually quite young and all very friendly and open to new people. It overall went well...we discussed this weekends readings and how it applied to our lives. It's interesting how God is everywhere but sometimes you don't open your eyes wide enough to see it. I can't make it to this group every Tuesday because of work but I'll hopefully be back. If anything it makes me more appreciative of the support group I had with KTB while in college...how I miss it.
The strangest thing happened to me while we were waiting for the group to meet. We met at a coffee shop, and this group of guys were waiting outside. One of the guys picks me out of the crowd and yells "HEY you're Megan, right?!...you went to AI (Art Institue) and were in my pastry class". I told him no, I'm a meteorologist but he said "no, no, you're that Giada looking girl in my pastry class!" I'm Italian but definitely no Giada look alike, or Megan look alike for that matter. It was pretty funny and ironic since this idea of culinary school has floated into my brain lately. Maybe it's a sign? haha
I went on a "date" today. I say date loosely because really it was an acquaintance from high school that randomly wanted to catch up over lunch. We went through the whole "who pays" awkward situation but I insisted we split it. Nice boy...wants to be a lawyer but not go to court like my dear friend M. He's taking some time off before school though. Anyways, nice to catch up but no chemistry. God is making me ultra patient with this boy searching which I suppose is a good thing.
That's about it...enjoying my Sunday off. Thank God for September...seriously there is just something awesome about fall!
glad to hear there are others out there who want to be a lawyer without the court :)
