Spring cleaning...In October?!

Well, almost October. T-2 days! :) YAY for my favorite month!

So I spent the majority of my weekend cleaning out my closet and doing a little "spring cleaning". It does feel super great to have a fresh/clean start, but I still have to go through drawers and the inevitable back guestroom of ours still filled with some of my unpacked college stuff. Gosh Beth, it's been 5 months since graduation, this should have been taken care of...but organizing/clearing out junk is not something I dream of doing on the weekends.

Anyways, since I've had so much time to think about things whilst cleaning I shall share my random musings with my blog:

1.) What is up with the blood drawing people?? Some know how to do it well and others just poke you like it's their first day on the job! My lady today was more like the latter hence my black and blue arm!

2.) I'm pretty much obsessed with Dancing with the Stars. Not only do I watch this "older" people show with my parents but I also refer to it as DWTS for short. AND I verbally critique them after they dance even though I have no dancing experience and/or knowledge.

3.) I really want to learn how to dance (re: #2)....particularly the fun ones like short-step or jive. Talk about a good workout!

4.) For my third DWTS related thought (told you I was obsessed) I really like Melissa Joan Hart. I know she's not the best but there is something about watching Sabrina throughout my childhood that makes me want her to do well! Plus, I like her partner Mark. I think the strongest are: Aaron Carter, Joanna Krupa, Mya, and Donny Osmond. I also really like Michael Irvin and Kelly Osbourne. I feel bad for Tom DeLay...his daughter teaches at my mom's school and we saw her on TV cheering him on. The poor guy is not very strong, but I say good for him for trying to show the world that politicians can have a personality.

5.) I've applied to 6 jobs in Chicago.

6.) I'm scared to live by myself in a new city.

7.) I'm really not a fan of the pumpkin spice latte/frap at Starbucks. I've tried both the latte and the light frap to give it a fair shot, but it's just not as pumpkin-spicey as I thought it would be.

8.) I'm intrigued by Starbucks "light" line. What do they do to make them light...add more ice? I know there's less sugar and calories. Either way something about it makes me feel like it's a healthier decision...even though it's mostly an advertising ploy.

9.) I made a Greek panzanella salad last night (thanks to Barefoot)! Ohhhh so good & colorful. My italian ancestors are probably rolling in their graves for having it not be traditional, but Italy and Greece aren't that far away, right? This picture really doesn't do it justice.

10.) For 'dessert Sunday' we made chocolate eclairs. Also, very good.

11.) Wow after three comments about carb-related foods you must wonder why I don't weight 500 lbs, but I promise desserts in this house hold are forbidden unless it is Sunday, bread salads are rare, and there is a lot of running and pilates in between.

12.) I miss KTB Mondays.

13.) I support Marissa's decision for a cute french bulldog puppy!!!

14.) I hate to admit it, but I actually am quite obsessed with Miley Cyrus' Party in the USA song. I think the lyrics are dumb but the tune is catchy! I even admit to downloading it to my iTunes along with every other tween in America; however, she is my client at work so I must support her work. :)

15.) My plants are growing! Onions are in the ground and looking good...peppers are coming along...cilantro and rosemary are sprouting up. Pictures soon!

  1. there is nothing wrong with the DWTS abbreviation haha - im guilty..and i also verbally comment which is mildly depressing because i live by myself and usually the people i comment to arent even watching it BUT i like it :) i like MJH too mainly because of clarissa explains it all haha and, as much as i love starbucks, im not a huge fan of the pumpkin spice either - its too watered down... i'm especially fond of your #13 :) the puppy needs an auntie beth... :) i just need to get my parents on board with this idea haha - what did you apply to in chicago?! thats exciting :)
