I believe that out of all weekends I've looked forward to this is perhaps top of the list. I now realize why we don't work the same shift like normal people...it'll drive you crazy. This will be my 4th day on the 2-10pm schedule and if I talk to another pilot I might crack :) After tomorrow night I will be free, and off to the blackjack tables in the far off land of southern Mississippi. I'm more excited about seeing my grandparents than anything else. They've somehow managed to avoid catching my uncle's swine flu...scary!
It is a damp & cold day here...the saying holds true that "only in Texas you can turn you heater & air conditioning on in the same day!"
Also, only in Texas (Houston) do you see a giant armadillo outside a BBQ restaurant...nothing else quite screams delicious brisket & sweet tea like a huge ugly armadillo wearing some sort of metal body armor. hungry anyone?...didn't think so. oh the silly town I live in
