Not much to report over the past week...work seems to take over most of my life. I wish I had appreciated college a little more :)
I played golf with my friend Cameron the other day in preparation for our tournament. He's not my partner in the tourney but it was a ton of fun. I still need to practice a lot before next Saturday...there's a lot of pressure being one of the only girls playing! What did I get myself into?! :)
Today's my Thursday which is nice...I have the night shift today and tomorrow and then a 4 day weekend b/c my boss let me have Saturday off for golf. I'm looking forward to the weekend!
Our old meteorology club which I was secretary of for 2 years came to visit our work on Saturday! They got a tour of our office and what we do. There were about 30 of them all huddled around our "ring" where we work. We felt like fish being stared at in a fish bowl! Haha, it was good to see familiar faces. Later that night I got to meet up with Brad and some friends at a bar near my house...which ended up being the shadiest bar any of us had been to!! Who would have thought crazy people go to a little pub in Katy, Texas?! We will not be returning. Here's a picture of my part of the office (I'm sitting on the right). This is our weather "ring". It's circle shaped with plasma TVs that have satellite, radar, etc looping. We also have one tv that usually on headline news or the weather channel (or football if it's the weekend). I guess not too bad an environment when I type it all out like that..
I'm going to the endocrinologist today to get some tests done, and I went to a huge arts and crafts show with my mom this past weekend at a huge baptist church down here. They had over 100 vendors with really cute stuff! We bought some homemade Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and flavored olive oils! (lemon, lime, orange, rosemary, mint, basil). I'm so excited to use them!! I'm also very excited for dwts tonight!Ciao-ciao!
your office looks awesome! much better than my study prison :) good luck in your golf tournament!
